Platforms & Tools
Enabling has developed the following platforms to facilitate communication and enhance the development and process of biomass material.
The Best Practices Atlas
In ENABLING we collect best BBP (Bio based Products and Processes) practices, from inside and outside Europe, that are wholly or partly transferable to other regions, or serve as an inspiration for partners in the value chain. An interactive web based tool provides easy to find information on the best practices identified.
Biomass Trade Platform
The BiomassTrade Platform allows biomass producers and biomass processors to search and offer biomass residues and by-products, bio-based products as well as services in the different sectors of bioeconomy. The BiomassTrade Platform operates EU-wide but aims to connect stakeholders on a regional level to foster the exchange of goods and services on that level.
Innovation Watch
For the duration of the project we collect useful information about technologies, innovation and processes. We share it with you to help improve and expand your practices.

What role does the agricultural and horticultural sector play in this as a supplier of biomass, the building blocks of a biobased economy?
The hosts from the European Center for Renewable Energy in Güssing and EPC gιve a brief introduction on the ENABLING project followed by insights on the current German and Austrian bioeconomy strategies including best practices short portraits.
An introduction video for the Biomass Trade Platform, created by EPC gGmbH partners.
The video concerns a farm-scale plant for the production of biogas and digestate through the anaerobic digestion of organic matrices of agricultural and agro-industrial origin.
This video describes a model industrial company born from the intuition of Prof. Francesco Bonina, a scientist expert in pharmaceutical technologies.
This video demonstrates how traditional agriculture can find important economic outlets not only in the food sector but also in the bioproducts industry.
